"I wasn't sure what to expect.
One doesn’t know what one doesn’t know. The discoveries I made while taking craft lessons with Jude, however, provided me with the necessary framework to be a better writer. Each “aha” moment I have arrived at has been through Jude's careful application of expert knowledge, seasoned methodology, and the warm and sensitive guidance a fledgling writer needs.
There is no question that I have spent time learning from an expert, have received new direction on my writing projects--and made a new friend and supporter. It doesn’t get any better."

"All good writing is swimming under water and holding your breath."
- William Faulkner
-- Michael Seto
“Jude has a fascinating way of suggesting changes in my manuscript that makes my work deliver more emotion and substance. She asks questions about how a particular section of the piece fits in with the overall plot, how a section advances the story or not. She keeps me on track. In addition to giving superior advice on writing, Jude has a great sense of humor and is a total pleasure to work with.”
- Randy Kinnard
“Jude is able to encourage by recognizing strengths, but she also identifies areas of improvement. As writers, one of our tasks is to constantly find ways to improve how we communicate our message in a way that is compelling for a reader. Jude's insights help move your writing forward and she communicates them in a way that motivates and supports the writer.”
